Interested?
Want to start design for a new home, major renovation, and or an addition, but not sure you need an architect or where to begin? A home design project is one of the biggest investments a family will ever make. Having an architect on your side is like hiring a quarterback or conductor for your team. We can guide you through design and construction to best capitalize on your investment of time and money.
Clients find us who have a vision and a sense of direction but need clearer guidance. They also might need drawings, and other documents to make their dreams a reality with professional architectural services. If that is you read on.
Starting the design process
Maximize your investment by going through the concept design process with Arocordis Design and firm principal architect, Stephen M. Frey. In this phase, we develop with you your design program of square footage, types, and quality of spaces both inside and out. We identify what are must-haves in the initial build, and what could happen later when your budget allows. During each phase, we supply budget checks aligned with the project delivery approach selection guidance we offer. Those phases can include planning, concept or schematic design, detailed design, and then as-needed construction administration services.
The approaches might range from custom builder-led stick-built, hybrid-stick built with modular or panelized components, or a modular build with a builder finishing them up. Each approach has its value to the process that we can explain more when underway. We make no assumptions about which to choose. We know each site and project is different. There is no “right” solution on the best way to build a house.
Once we know more about your goals, budget, and timeline, we will guide you to the delivery approach that best suits your project. As we finish the concept or schematic design phase, once approved, we will move into the detailed design and builder set phase. Our detailed plans provide needed information that helps the builders do detailed pricing with clearer dimensioned floor plans, elevations, site plans, and other supplemental drawings and schedules.

Interested in applying a certain style to your exterior or interior design? We know a bit about the history of residential architecture and styles through time. Often, we know why the styles emerged. We also know about the functional, social, and cultural factors that drove their development. Let us explore together how what you seek meshes with your project goals and family lifestyle today.
